no the puzzle didnt change.

its definitly a vigenere cipher, the smaller puzzle is supposed to be a key of some sort i believe. Use the small one to figure out some kind of maze.

I also believe that if this is a true vigenere, then then key is just as long as the puzzle, give or take. the first two words are three letter, this is probably "you win."

if this is the case, the first part of the key should read: "AZYYXT"

use the key from the first puzzle to figure out the ciphertext. i hope

I'm pretty sure that's ridiculous, we can't be expected to assume words, solve for a key with seemingly random letters, then apply the random key to a visual puzzle? I think you're working backwards, assuming the words "You Win" are there, then the solution to the bottom puzzle gives the key to decrypt the top sentence. The way you're doing it now is like borderline cryptologist thinking and it's a little scary.

well then can u also try assuming for "dodo at wpi dot edu" for me

if this is the final puzzle that has to be in there somewhere and there is a series of 4 2 3 3 3 letter long words.

We agree, we probably need to solve the lower puzzle first. Also, I noticed two more 'arrow' markings in blue that were mostly faded. I updated the page accordingly.

The water is getting pretty high now, and the air is starting to get thin. I'd say we only have 2 hours at best.
